Data Not Collected

Your data stays on your iPhone

What you write is never collected. Intentions, quiz answers, math and times-table results, and your settings are stored only on your iPhone, in the app's own storage. They're never sent to the developer or used for tracking, and there is no analytics or advertising in the app.

Deleting the app deletes all of it, unless you keep a backup. You can also delete intentions one by one, or all at once, under Intentions.

What leaves the phone

Exercise counting happens on the iPhone as you move. Camera frames are analysed and dropped immediately, and steps and motion are read from the iPhone's own sensors; no video, images or motion data are saved or sent. Speaking practice uses the iPhone's on-device speech recognition; your voice is never recorded, saved or sent.

Which apps you lock is handled by Apple's Screen Time. The app only receives anonymous tokens for them, never your usage history.

Chess puzzles are downloaded from lichess.org, which sees an ordinary web request. If you sign in to Lichess, your puzzle results are sent to your own Lichess account so they count toward your rating; you can turn that off in Settings. The sign-in key is kept in the iPhone's Keychain.

Backups are optional and only go where you choose: an automatic copy in your own iCloud, where intention notes are encrypted with a key in your iCloud Keychain, or a file you export yourself. The developer never receives them.

With the Anki unlock, the In Check Anki Sync add-on on your computer puts a small file in your own iCloud Drive: deck names and how many cards you studied today and still have due. It holds no card content, and nothing goes to the developer or any server.
